Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken Rice
Eng Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Porridge does the usual hainanese chicken and roast chicken served with rice.
First, the hainanese chicken. It has soft and moist, smooth and tender meat. Its skin is rather smooth and soft too. Likewise for the roast chicken, its meat is surprisingly soft, moist and tender. The roast chicken skin is slightly savoury and quite flavourful. Both are good! The chicken meat is served on some bean sprouts and a few tomato slices are included on the side. Some soya sauce is added to the plate of chicken meat.
Next, the rice. It has a nice firm texture is fragrant and very flavourful. The rice is nice! A bowl of nicely flavoured soup with fried shallots and chopped spring onions is served on the side. An optional garlicky and limey tasting chilli sauce is available as well.
This plate of chicken rice is really nice. I like it!
