Ghim Guan Fried Oyster

is a rather popular stall serving fried oyster omelette and fried carrot cake. Nice.

Fried Oyster Omelette

Ghim Guan Fried Oyster does fried oyster omelette with a nicely flavoured egg and starch mixture with pockets of crispiness. The oysters are quite large in size, and quite plump and juicy. These are pan fried with a nice dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste. A limey chilli dip is included on the side, and it goes rather well with the oysters.

This fried oyster omelette is quite a nice one.

Fried Carrot Cake

Besides fried oyster omelette, fried carrot cake is served here as well. The usual black and white versions are available. The fried carrot cake uses soft radish cubes, pan fried with eggs and chye poh.

The white version has a nice fragrant scent. It is not the flat pancake type and is not exactly crispy. However it has nice smokey flavours of wok hei and tastes decent. It is topped with some chopped spring onions.

The black version has sweet black sauce added, giving it a slightly sweet taste. Some parts of the fried carrot cake caramlised and is slightly crispy. The caramelised parts are nice. It is topped with some chopped spring onions as well.

Personally, I like the black version of fried carrot cake more. I find the slightly sweet taste and caramelised parts nice.
