Ngo Hiang & Fried Mee Hoon

Golden Shoes Wu Xiang Xia Bing offers a selection of ngo hiang pieces and fried mee hoon. Above is with ngo hiang, prawn roll, fishball, egg cake, crispy prawn cracker and fried prawn cake, served with a plate fried mee hoon and chilli sauce.

The ngo haing has a crispy skin and soft meaty filling with a hint of yam flavours. Likewise for the prawn roll, crispy skin with a meaty filling with crunchy water chestnut bits and bits of prawn meat. Both are decent choices though I like the ngo hiang more.

The nice savoury flavoured fishball is soft, smooth and springy. The decent tasting egg cake is slightly crispy outside and soft inside. The crispy prawn cracker has a nice crispy batter. As for the fried prawn cake, it is made to order. It has a nice crisp outside and is soft inside. Contains lots of crunchy bean sprouts and some tiny prawns. It is nice.

The fried mee hoon is a bit moist with some bean sprouts and nice savoury flavours. A saucer of limey tasting chilli sauce is also provided on the side.

This serving of ngo hiang and fried mee hoon is not bad. Thumbs up for their freshly made fried prawn cake.
