Fried Hokkien Mee.

The fried hokkien mee has a wok-fried mixture of yellow noodles, mee hoon, bean sprouts, and egg, simmered in a decently flavoured broth. Prawns, sotong and crispy pork lard are added to it.

The prawns are of decent size and freshness, while the sotong is firm and chewy. The fried noodles is springy with a subtle hint of wok hei. A piece of green lime and, a dollop of lightly sweet and mildly savoury chilli paste are provided on the side.

Fried Kway Teow.

The fried kway teow features a mixture of kway teow, yellow noodles and bean sprouts wok-fried with egg, along with see hum, fish cake and lap cheong.

The see hum is of decent size, and taste. The fish cake slices are springy, while the lap cheong slices are soft and sweet. The fried kway teow has a nice dry texture and is rather flavourful with a mild tint of wok hei. Not bad.

Prawn Mee.

The dry version of prawn mee features rather large prawns, fish cake and pork slices, served on a bowl of tossed yellow noodles with bean sprouts and vegetables. A small bowl of pleasantly flavoured prawn soup is served alongside.

The prawns are ratherlarge in size, are springy and tastes quite fresh. The fish cake is springy, while the pork is meaty. The tossed noodles has a seasoning with both spicy and sweet notes, and is topped with crispy fried shallots.

This serving of prawn mee tastes nice.

Laksa.

The laksa comes with prawns, fish cake and tau pok, served with springy yellow noodles and bean sprouts in a bowl of mildly spicy and pleasantly flavoured laksa gravy, and topped with laksa leaves.

The prawns are of decent size and freshness, and the fish cake is springy. The tau pok is firm and soaking up the laksa gravy’s flavours. This bowl of laksa tastes not bad.

Mee Rebus.

The mee rebus comes with firm slices of tau pok, half a boiled egg and a piece of hash brown with slightly crispy edges. These are served with yellow noodles and bean sprouts with a piece of green lime on the side, and drenched in a pleasantly flavourful sauce containing tiny grated peanuts. The mee rebus is topped with fried shallots, chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilli. It tastes rather likeable.

Mee Siam.

The mee siam comes with firm tau pok slices, half a boiled egg and a piece of hash brown with slightly crispy sides. These are served with mee hoon and bean sprouts, drenched in a decently flavourful gravy with a light limey note. It is topped with chopped spring onions, and a piece of green lime is provided on the side. This is quite a decent serving of mee siam.
