Fried Hokkien Mee.

Ho Jiak Fried Hokkien Noodle serves a wet version of fried hokkien mee with prawns, sotong and pork belly slices.

A mixture of thick mee hoon, yellow noodles and bean sprouts is wok-fried with egg, crispy pork lard and some garlic bits, then simmered in a broth. The fried mee hoon and noodles mixture is firm and springy, and rather flavourful. The prawns are small sized but taste fairly fresh. The sotong is soft, and the pork belly is firm and meaty with some soft fatty parts. A piece of green lime and a dollop of very spicy and limey-tasting chilli paste complete this dish.

Overall, this plate of fried hokkien mee tastes not bad.
