Wanton Mee

Joo Chiat Lane Wanton Noodle does traditional type of wanton mee with slices of lean meat char siew topped on a plate of tossed noodles and served with a bowl of wanton soup on the side.

The char siew is lean and meaty, and is a bit dry with a very mild hint of smokiness. The tossed noodles is firm and springy with nice savoury seasoning flavours. Comes with some vegetables and crispy pork lard. The wanton has soft skin with a nicely flavoured soft and meaty meat filling. As for the soup, nice flavours of ikan bilis with a faint note of peppery.

This serving of wanton mee is nice. I like it.
