Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice

Kun Ji Shao La is a siu mei stall serving the usual selection of roast meats. Seen above is their char siew and siu yuk rice.

I had requested for fatty char siew, however the char siew given are quite lean. It is soft and meaty. Quite decent though. The siu yuk is meaty with crispy skin and salty flavours. Quite decent as well.

These are served with firm white rice with sweet tasting braised sauce added. An optional savoury tasting chilli paste can be added.

This plate of char siew and siu yuk rice is quite ordinary but still decent.
