Jawa Mee

Legency Jawa Mee serves jawa mee which is rather uncommon in Singapore.

The jawa mee comes with soft tau kwa cubes served in a plate of yellow noodles and bean sprouts with a nice flavourful sauce added. The sauce has a very mild note of spiciness and a faint hint of peanuts.

This is then topped with pieces of thin and crispy fried fritters, sliced boiled egg, and some sweet tasting chewy and meaty bits that doesn’t taste like chicken, pork or mutton. It was at a later stage that I realised it is cuttlefish. Nice! Some chopped spring onions are added to it too. On the sides are a piece of green lime, crispy fried shallots and grated peanuts.

This serving of jawa mee is absolutely lovely! Recommended!
