Mee Hoon Kueh

Qi Er Mee Hoon Kway serves several types of handmade noodles, made on the spot to order. The mee hoon kueh, as shown above, has firm and springy mee hoon kueh served with some vegetables, minced meat, pork slices, meatballs, raw egg and topped with braised mushrooms and ikan bilis.

The minced meat is soft and meaty with a subtle tone of rice wine seasoning flavours. The pork slices are firm and meaty, and the meatballs are soft with decent flavours. A raw egg and shallot oil are added to the soup, which has well-balanced flavours and a faint hint of black pepper taste. The ikan bilis is crispy and the braised mushroom is soft and flavourful.

This bowl of mee hoon kueh tastes decent.
