Ayam Rendang
The ayam rendang rice comes with a piece of chicken rendang and a fried egg.
Chicken thigh is used for the chicken rendang. It soft and meaty with savoury flavours of rendang sauce. Its skin is soft and flavourful. A sweet tasting chilli sauce is added on to it. It is served with a fried egg that has soft runny yolk and soft whites, and plain white rice.
This serving of ayam rendang rice is decent.
Nasi Lemak
Sheng Ji Indonesia Cuisine serves nasi lemak too. There are a few sets to choose from. Above is their nasi lemak set with fried chicken wing, fried egg, otah and ikan bilis peanuts.
The fried chicken wing has nice seasoning flavours. It has a nice crispy batter and soft juicy meat. I like it. The fried egg has soft yolk and soft whites. The otah is firm and tastes mildly spicy. The ikan bilis is crispy and the peanuts crunchy. As for the rice, a green tinted pandan rice is provided. The rice is firm and rather flavourful. On the side is a dollop of sweet tasting chilli sauce.
This plate of nasi lemak is nice. I prefer it over their ayam rendang rice.
