Soya Sauce Chicken

Shi Wei Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken does soya sauce chicken and prawn wanton with either noodles or rice. Shown here is their soya sauce chicken noodles with prawn wanton added as extras.

For this plate of noodles, I had requested for their chicken thigh which is nicely deboned. Its meat is tender and smooth, and its skin is very smooth with nice soya sauce flavourings.

The added wanton dumplings has a soft outer skin wrapper. Instead of the usual minced meat filled wanton commonly found in Singapore, prawn is used here. The wanton tastes decent.

As for the noodles, it is a bit on the soft side but still fairly springy. It has a nice tasting soya sauce seasoning that helps cover up the mild alkaline tastes of the noodles. Comes with some vegetables on the side. Also included is a small bowl of savoury tasting soup with mild ikan bilis flavours.

This plate of soya sauce chicken noodles is rather likeable. Add in the extra wantons too. It’ll make a really decent meal.
