Fishball Noodles

Song Kee Kway Teow Noodle Soup does fishball noodles with the usual choice of noodles in dry or soup. Above is their dry version of mee kia, with comes with some fishballs, teochew fishball and fish dumpling.

The fishball is firm and springy with a nice fish taste. The teochew fishball is soft and springy, and nicely flavoured with tiny bits of chopped chilli and spring onions. The fish dumpling is rather large in size. It has a smooth skin with meaty and savoury tasting meat filling that is a tad on the salty end. All 3 are handmade and are quite likeable.

The mee kia is tossed with vinegar, fried shallots and pork lard. It is firm and springy and tastes rather nice. As for the soup, it has decently nice fishball flavours.

This serving of mee kia is quite likeable.
