Tian Tian Lai Cooked Food

is known for its mouth-watering selection of fried kway teow, fried mee hoon and fried maggi mee.

Fried Kway Teow

This plate of fried kway teow features a combination of kway teow and yellow noodles wok fried with bean sprouts, eggs, fish cake, lap cheong and see hum. It is topped with some crispy pork lard bits.

The fish cake is soft and smooth, the lap cheong is firm and has a sweet taste, and the see hum is rather decent. The mixture of fried kway teow and yellow noodles is moist and flavourful with a garlicky tint. It has springy yellow noodles and really smooth kway teow. This is probably the smoothest fried kway teow I have tasted. Recommended!

Fried Mee Hoon

Fried mee hoon is available as well. It uses mee hoon instead, wok fried with bean sprouts, eggs, fish cake, lap cheong, see hum, and topped with some crispy pork lard bits. This fried mee hoon is a bit lumpy but is very nicely flavoured with a sweet note and a slight garlicky tone. It is likeable and a good alternative to their fried kway teow.

Fried Maggi Mee

There is something more unique available here – fried maggi mee. Similarly it is wok fried with bean sprouts, eggs, fish cake, lap cheong, and see hum,. The plate of fried maggi mee is topped with some crispy pork lard bits and a piece of green lime on the side. Squeeze the green lime on to the noodles and it gives a fresh and slightly limey tinge to its flavours. It is rather nice. I like it.
