Yong Tau Foo.

The yong tau foo above is paired with chee cheong fun. The chee cheong fun has a smooth texture, and comes added with some bean sprout, vegetables and soft soya beans. It is topped with a mixture of sweet and chilli sauces, along with an assortment of yong tau foo pieces, which are refried to a nice crisp.

The tau kee roll is firm and crispy, and the yam ball is crispy outside and soft inside. The sotong roll has a crispy skin wrapping a firm and springy sotong paste. Both the handmade teochew fishball and fish cake are soft, smooth and flavourful. The flat tau kee is crispy with a flavourful meaty filling, while the tau pok has a smooth fish paste filling.

A small bowl of soup accompanies the dish. The soup is laden with soft soya beans and ikan bilis. It is very flavourful with a lovely sweet note of lotus roots flavours, and is tasty!

This serving of yong tau foo chee cheong fun is really satisfying.
