Cai Png

Yi Ru Heng Economic Rice offers a variety of mains and sides for their cai png. Above is with chicken chop, fried bean sprouts and vegetables scrambled eggs served with rice and curry.

The fried chicken chop has a fairly crispy skin with tender and moist meat, and nice savoury flavours. The stir-fried bean sprouts has some carrot shreds and small tofu cubes. It is crunchy and savoury. The vegetables scrambled eggs contains some cabbage and onions bits, and has soya sauce flavours. As for the rice, it is a bit soft and lumpy on its own. An optional mild spicy curry sauce can also be added to the rice.

Personally I would have preferred if the food is a little less savoury and its rice firmer, but overall this serving of cai png is rather decent.
