Cai Png

Zan Ji Whampoa Mixed Veg Rice serves cai png with a nice selection of mains and sides. Seen above is their sweet sour pork, minced meat tofu and long beans fried omelette served with rice and curry.

The sweet sour pork is firm and meaty but its coated batter is no longer crispy. It is glazed with a sauce that is slightly savoury and slightly sweet. Comes with some onions, pineapple and cucumber. Tastes decent.

The fried tofu with minced meat has savoury tasting minced meat that is soft and meaty. The deep fried tofu has a chewy skin and is soft and smooth inside. The long bean fried omelette is soft with nice savoury flavours with a slight undertone of smokiness. Both tastes rather nice. As for the rice, it has a firm texture and a spicy and flavourful curry sauce is added to it.

This serving of cai png tastes pretty decent.
