Hainanese Curry Rice

Hock Gooi Hainanese Curry Rice does hainanese curry rice with a selection of mains and sides.

First, the meats. The pork chop has a nice crispy breaded crust with meaty and flavourful pork meat. Likewise for the chicken chop, nice crispy crust with moist meaty flesh. Its flavourings is nice and its skin is crispy and flavourful. Both are rather likeable. As for the char siew, it is meaty with some fatty parts. Slightly smokey and slightly sweet flavours. The char siew is nice too.

Next, the stir fried mixture of bean sprouts and vegetables is moist and crunchy with decent flavours. The fried egg is quite ordinary though.

As for the rice and curry. The rice has a nice firm texture and the curry sauce has a mildly spicy taste. An optional sambal chilli with a slightly sweet and salty taste is available for you to add on according to your likings.

This hainanese curry rice with either pork chop or chicken cutlet are both enjoyable and rather likeable. I like it.
