Fried Rice

Ho Kee Fried Rice dishes out a handful of fried rice options. Shown above is their yang zhou fried rice, shrimp fried rice and ikan bilis fried rice.

The yang zhou fried rice comes with the usual prawns and tiny char siew bits stir fried with chopped spring onions and egg. The shrimp fried rice contains just prawns with chopped spring onions and egg, and the ikan bilis fried rice uses crispy ikan bilis instead of prawns.

All 3 fried rice are very fragrant and has a nice dry and firm texture rice. Flavourings are good too. Comes served with a saucer of limey tasting chilli sauce on the side. Fried rice maybe a simple dish, but it is not something easy to master well. Just one word. Lovely.
