Wanton Mee

Zhen Wanton Noodles does wanton mee that comes with both fried wanton and soup wanton with slices of char siew served on a bowl of tossed noodles. The black sauce wanton seen above is an extra add on.

The char siew used here are the lean meat type. It is meaty and sweet. The fried wanton has an airy kind of crispiness with a savoury tasting filling. The soup wanton has soft skin with savoury tasting filling, served in a bowl of lightly flavoured soup. The fried wanton is nice.

The noodles are tossed in a black seasoning sauce with slightly sweet flavours. The noodles is firm and springy, and comes with some vegetables. It is rather likeable.

As for the black sauce wanton. Similar to the soup wanton, it has soft skin wrapping a savoury tasting meat filling. These are tossed in the same black seasoning sauce as the noodles with some chilli sauce added, giving the wanton a slightly sweet and slightly spicy taste. Decent.

Chicken Cutlet Noodles

Besides wanton mee, chicken cutlet noodles is available as well. The chicken cutlet noodles comes with slices of fried chicken cutlet and fried wanton served on a bowl of tossed noodles.

The chicken cutlet has a nice crispy batter with soft and moist meat. Nice flavourings as well. The fried wanton has a nice airy crispy skin with a savoury tasting meat filling. Both are nice.

As for the tossed noodles, it is firm and springy with nice seasoning flavours and comes served with some vegetables. On the side is a bowl of lightly flavoured soup.

The chicken cutlet noodles is a nice alternative to their wanton mee. I like it too.
