Wanton Mee

Hong Chong Wanton Noodle is a fairly popular stall serving wanton mee. The tossed noodles comes with slices of char siew and some vegetables, and served with a small bowl of wanton soup on the side.

The tossed noodles is firm and springy with nice seasoning flavours. Comes with some vegetables, fried shallots and you can add your own crispy pork lard. Some lean meat char siew slices are included with the noodles. The char siew is firm and meaty with a nice sweet taste. Served on the side is a bowl of decently flavoured soup with a couple of wanton dumplings. The wanton has a soft skin wrapper with a savoury tasting meat filling. There is a slight alkaline taste in the wanton coming from the skin wrapper. Not a deal killer though.

If you are craving for wanton mee, this is a rather decent choice.
