Wanton Mee

Xiang Ji Wanton Noodle does wanton mee that comes with a plate of tossed noodles topped with char siew slices and a bowl of wanton soup on the side. The plate of fried wanton is an extra add-on.

The char siew used here is the lean meat type. It is soft and meaty with a sweet taste. The wanton has a soft skin wrapping a nicely flavoured soft meat filling with a faint hint of pepper. The wanton comes served in a bowl of very flavourful tasting soup. As for the tossed noodles, it has decent flavours and comes with some vegetables and crispy pork lard pieces.

The plate of fried wanton is an extra add-on. The fried wanton has an airy crispy skin. Its meat filling has a nice savoury taste. Comes with a mayonnaise dip on the side. Personally, I think that the fried wanton tastes nice on its own and prefer to skip on the mayonnaise.

This serving of wanton mee is rather nice and likeable.
