Nasi Lemak

Alimah’s Kitchen sells nasi lemak with a small selection of dishes to choose from. Shown here is their standard nasi lemak that comes with a fried egg, ikan billis and fried chicken wing with a slice of cucumber and sambal chilli served on the side. An extra begedil is added to it.

The rice is pretty fragrant with nice coconut milk flavours. The ikan bilis is quite crunchy and the fried egg is quite standard fare. The benegil has a nice crispy coating outside with decently flavoured potato filling inside. The fried chicken wing is the highlight here. It has a crispy and airy flour batter coating moist chicken meat inside with tasty savoury flavours. Simply lovely. I should’ve ordered extras to snack on. The nasi lemak comes with sambal chilli served on the side with a light hint of sweetness and dried shrimps flavours. Mixes really well with the fragrant coconut rice. This nasi lemak is truly likeable.
