Nasi Lemak

Crave Nasi Lemak sells a few different selection of nasi lemak sets. Shown here is their Royale Nasi Lemak set which comes with a fried egg, fried chicken wing, fish fillet, begedil, ikan bilis and peanuts served with rice, cucumber slices and chilli on the side. The otah is an extra add on.

Both the fried egg and fish fillet are quite ordinary, and the fish fillet isn’t crispy at all. The fried chicken wing has pockets of crispiness but is mostly soft, its flesh is fairly moist and tastes decent. The begedil is nicely flavoured with soft potato filling with a crispy egg coating. The ikan bilis and peanuts are crispy and crunchy. As for the otah, it is quite decent, containing some fish bits with a mild spicy flavour.

The rice is mildly fragrant with a decently firm texture and a tint of coconut milk flavours. The chilli served on the side, is the watery type that is mildly spicy and mildly sweet.

This nasi lemak maybe famous but its taste is quite ordinary and rather costly. It is still considered a rather decent plate of nasi lemak though.
