Fried Hokkien Mee

This fried hokkien mee comes with prawns, sotong slices and pork belly slices stir fried with eggs and broth in a mixture of yellow noodles and mee hoon.

The sotong slices are quite soft. The pork belly slices are half fatty, soft and juicy. The prawns are also fairly large in size.

This fried hokkien mee is the wet type with some broth still soaking the nicely balanced ratio of yellow noodles and mee hoon. Although wet, the noodles are still springy. Nice light savoury flavours and no alkaline tastes from the yellow noodles. Really nice!

The plate of fried hokkien mee comes served with both chopped chilli and chilli paste on the side. The chilli paste has nice dried shrimp flavours that goes really well with the noodles. Unfortunately, there is no crispy lard with this. Still it is a likeable plate of fried hokkien mee. Thumbs up!
