Fried Hokkien Mee

Famous Beo Crescent Hokkien Sotong Mee does pretty good fried Hokkien mee. It comes with sotong slices, prawns, and pork belly slices that is slightly fat. These are stir fried in wok in a nice ratio mix of yellow noodles and mee hoon with bean sprouts, spring onions, eggs and lard. Served on a plate with a piece of green lime on the side and a dollop of chilli sauce.

This plate of fried Hokkien mee has a relatively dry texture, not the type that is soaking wet with broth. Although not soaking wet, its flavours are good and tastes mildly of wok hei. The limey tasting chilli sauce mixes well with the fried noodles. In my opinion, this is definitely a very nice plate of fried Hokkien mee that tastes better than the famous stall, Tiong Bahru Yi Sheng Fried Hokkien Mee located across the road at ABC Brickworks Food Centre.
