still steams their own radish cakes for their fried carrot cake. This is definitely one of the better ones in Singapore.

Fried Carrot Cake

Ghim Moh Carrot Cake makes very good fried carrot cake, in both white and black versions. They still make their own steamed radish cakes used for their fried carrot cake.

The white carrot cake is good, very good. Its outer egg coating is pan fried until a golden crisp. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with chai poh giving this a nice savoury flavour.

The black version is similarly good. It has black sweet sauce added giving it a nice sweet taste. The crispy parts with black sauce added has a slightly chewy texture to it, which is really nice.

This is exactly how a good fried carrot cake should taste like. Nice flavourings and texture, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This is definitely one of the better tasting fried carrot cakes in Singapore.
