Guang Dong Porridge sells an assortment of Cantonese style porridge. Shown here is their sliced pork and pork balls porridge with a raw egg added as an extra.
This porridge comes with pork slices, pork balls, topped with a few pieces of you tiao. This porridge is already flavoured and you can add your own pepper, fried shallots, chopped spring onions and additional soya sauce if you like it more savoury.
The pork slices are quite tender, and the pork balls are soft and juicy. Both are nice. The pleasant surprise here is the you tiao. It is toasted crispy. A very nice touch! The porridge is smooth and nicely flavoured, with an egg added makes it tastes even better. I like it!
