Wanton Mee

Hoong’s Wanton Noodle serves traditional style wanton mee with slices of lean meat char siew atop a plate of tossed noodles, along with a bowl of wanton soup on the side. The dumplings are an extra add-on.

The char siew is firm and meaty with a subtle sweet taste. The noodles, accompanied with some vegetables, is firm and has decent seasoning flavours. The wanton has soft skin and a soft meaty filling. The dumpling has a soft skin with a soft meaty filling containing a small piece of prawn meat and water chestnut bits. The savoury-tasting dumpling is nice. Both the wanton and dumplings are served in a bowl of ikan bilis flavoured soup.

All in all, this serving of wanton mee tastes decent.
