Char Siew, Siu Yuk & Sausage

Lian Fa Roasted does the usual siu mei roasted meats. Above is their char siew and siu yuk rice with added sausage.

The sweet tasting char siew is soft and meaty with some fatty parts. The siu yuk is firm and meaty with some soft fatty parts. Some of its skin is crispy but it is mostly soft. The sausage is soft and sweet with a note of soury. Honestly, not to my liking.

These are served on a plate of firm white rice with a mildly sweet braised sauce added. An optional limey and savour chilli sauce can also be provided on the side. Do note that there is no soup.

This plate of char siew, siu yuk and sausage rice tastes rather ordinary.
