Char Siew, Siu Yuk, Sausage
Hua Zai Hong Kong Style Roasted Delight does char siew, siu yuk and roast sausage with either rice or noodles.
The char siew is soft and meaty with fatty parts and sweet flavours of charred caramelised bits. The savoury tasting roast pork has very crispy skin, and meaty flesh with soft fatty parts. The roast sausage is nicely charred and caramelised, giving it a nice sweet flavour. The fatty char siew and siu yuk are especially good! My 1 star goes to them.
The white plain rice is firm and has a sweet seasoning sauce added. The noodles are springy, tossed in a nicely flavoured black sauce seasoning and lard with some vegetables included. Comes served with a bowl of savoury tasting salted vegetables soup.
Roast duck is available here as well with options for rice or noodles. My personal preference is their noodles, and with roast sausage added as an extra. The noodles are springy with some vegetables and crispy lard. The roast duck meat is quite soft and tender, its skin is nicely flavoured and juicy. Dang gui sauce is added giving this duck nice herbal flavours. Nice.
Soya Sauce Chicken
Besides the usual roast meats, soya sauce chicken is available as well with choice of rice or noodles. I like the springy and well flavoured noodles here, and hence my preference for it. The soya chicken has soft and moist meat. Its skin is smooth with nice flavours. It is pretty likeable too.
Wanton mee is also available here too. It is served with slices of tender and soft, caramelised sweet tasting char siew on a plate of springy well flavoured noodles with some vegetables and crispy lard pieces. The wanton has a soft skin wrapper and nicely flavoured minced meat filling. Lovely!
