Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee

serves lor mee with braised duck meat instead of braised pork. Pretty nice.

Lor Mee

Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee serves lor mee using thick yellow noodles with some bean sprouts in a nicely flavoured thick and starchy braised sauce gravy. This bowl of lor mee comes with the usual fish cake, ngo hiang and braised egg. Something a little different, shredded braised duck meat is used instead of the usual pork belly slices.

For both the ngo hiang and fish cake, 2 different types are provided. The regular fish cake is firm and springy, and the flat type of fish cake is firm and nicely flavoured. The ngo hiang provided has a fish type and a meat type. Both are soft and has nice savoury flavours. The braised duck meat is meaty with nice savoury braised flavourings. Likewise for the braised egg, nice braised flavours. Comes with an optional dollop of dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste.

This lor mee is a pretty nice one, and hearty too. I like it.
