Fried Carrot Cake.

The fried carrot cake uses soft and springy cubes of radish cake, with crunchy and savoury chye poh added. These are wok-fried with eggs.

The white version is done flat style with a nice crispy egg coating. The black version has sweet black sauce added giving it a slightly sweet note, and it has some crispy bits. The fried carrot cake is topped with spring onions.

Both versions of fried carrot cake are likeable.

Fried Rice.

A variety of fried rice is available, including one with pork cutlet as shown above.

The fried rice features egg, chopped spring onions, tiny bits of char siew and crab stick. It has a nice dry texture and has pleasant flavours. The thinly sliced pork chop is tender and meaty, coated in a crispy breaded crust, and the meat has nice marinated flavours. An optional dollop of limey and very spicy chilli sauce can be provided on the side.

This serving of pork cutlet fried rice is both likeable and enjoyable.
