Cai Png

Nanyang Kitchenette does cai png with a decent selection of mains and sides. Seen above is with sweet sour pork, salted egg yolk fish, egg tofu and onion omelette served with rice and curry.

The sweet sour pork is very nicely done with a nice crispy batter covering meaty cubes of pork meat. It is glazed with a sweet tasting sauce that does not make it soggy. Likewise for the salted egg yolk fish. It has a crispy batter covering soft chunks of soft fish meat. Both the sweet sour pork and salted egg yolk fish has nice flavourings. Very likeable.

The egg tofu is more ordinary, soft cubes of egg tofu with a decently flavoured sauce. The onion egg omelette is done quite nicely, with crunchy slivers of onions and flavourful egg omelette. As for the curry, slightly spicy and flavourful.

This serving of cai png is nice! I like it.
