Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken

Old Kampung Hainanese Chicken Rice serves hainanese chicken and roast chicken.

The hainanese chicken has moist and tender meat with a smooth and bouncy skin attached. The roast chicken has moist and flavourful meat and its skin has a mild crisp and nice savoury flavours. The chicken meat are not deboned though. Both the hainanese chicken and roast chicken tastes nice!

These are served on a plate of firm and flavourful rice. A bowl of lightly flavoured soup is served on the side. An optional garlicky and limey tasting chilli sauce is available as well.

This serving of hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice is nice. I like it!

Char Siew & Siu Yuk

Besides chicken, char siew and siu yuk is available too.

The char siew is firm and meaty with a mildly sweet taste. The siu yuk is meaty with some soft fatty parts and a crispy skin. It has a light savoury taste. Comes served with the same firm and flavourful rice used for their chicken rice, but with a slightly sweet tasting braised sauce added.

This plate of char siew and siu yuk rice is quite likeable.
