Minced Meat Fishball Noodles

Shan Yuan Teochew Kway Teow Mee dishes out an assortment of minced meat and fishball noodles, with the usual choice of noodles. Shown here is their mee pok with extra meatballs added.

This bowl of mee pok comes with fishballs, fish cake slices, fish dumplings, pork slices, minced meat and a small bowl of savoury tasting soup served on the side. The meatballs are an extra add on.

The fishball is soft and smooth, springy too. Likewise for the fishcake slices, soft with a nice savoury flavour. Its skin isn’t too thick and chewy. It is nice. As for the fish dumpling, it is smooth and chewy with nice savour tastes. It is nice too.

Both the minced meat and pork slices are meaty and soft. Likewise for the meatballs, soft and meaty, savoury tasting and juicy. Very nice! Recommended as an add on.

About the mee pok. It is springy with a dry texture, and mixed with a vinegar and lard based seasoning providing it with rather nice flavours. No bean sprouts but comes topped with chopped spring onions. I like it! Thumbs up.
