Minced Meat Noodles

Soon Lee Food Stall does minced meat and fishball noodles in the usual assortment of noodles. Shown above is their minced meat mee pok with fishballs added.

This mee pok has a vinegar and soya sauce based seasoning, and is a bit on the soft side. Comes with minced meat, pork slices, mushroom slices, meatballs, fishballs, fish cake slices, vegetables and some bean sprouts.

The fishballs and meatballs are soft and springy, tastes decent. Probably standard factory supplied stuff. Likewise for the fish cake slices. The mushroom slices is quite soft and tastes ok too. The pork slices and minced pork are quite soft and tender, and moist with nice meaty flavours. The bowl of noodles comes with a small bowl of lightly flavoured soup on the side which tastes of fishballs.

This mee pok is not exactly a good one, but it isn’t a bad one either. It is just another ordinary tasting mee pok. Just ordinary likeable.
