Yong Tau Foo.

Tiong Bahru Yong Tao Hu serves a few yong tau foo sets with a choice of noodles, available in either soup or dry. The yong tau foo soup, above, comes with a variety of ingredients, including tofu, fried tofu, tau kee and fishballs, along with a serving of mee hoon.

Both tofu and fried tofu are quite smooth and soft, with the fried tofu having a chewy fried skin. The tau kee is firm and springy with nice savoury flavours of bean curd skin. The fishball is very smooth and springy with a pleasant fish flavour. The soup is well-balanced with lovely flavours. A pair of dipping sauces are available on the side.

This serving of yong tau foo mee hoon soup is truly enjoyable. Recommended.
