Old Airport Road Food Centre Singapore

[Closed] Yi Sheng Gong Fu

is a fairly popular stall dishing out fried carrot cake and fried oyster omelette. Tastes nice.

Fried Carrot Cake

Yi Sheng Gong Fu dishes out fried carrot cake in the usual white and black versions. This fried carrot cake uses small soft cubes of radish cake that are pan fried until they are crispy with chye poh and eggs added. This is then pan fried until golden brown. This fried carrot cake has a nice mildly smokey flavours of wok hei and the chye poh tastes nice. The black version has black sweet sauce added, giving it a slightly sweet taste. Both versions are nice, though I prefer the black version a little bit more.

Fried Oyster Omelette

Yi Sheng Gong Fu also does fried oyster omelette with decent size oysters. This is the dry type of fried oyster omelette where the mixture of eggs and starch are pan fried to a light crisp. The starchy parts are slightly crispy and still chewy. This is topped with spring onions and served with a limey chilli dip on the side. This fried oyster omelette is quite likeable.
