Zion Riverside Nasi Lemak

sells nasi lemak and fried mee hoon with selection of sides to choose from. Quite decent.

Nasi Lemak

This is a very basic nasi lemak set that comes with just a fried egg and a fried chicken wing, served with a dollop of lightly sweet tasting chilli on the side. The ikan bilis is an extra add on.

The rice has a nice fragrant scent but tastes a bit bland with very mild coconut milk flavours. The fried egg has crispy whites and a soft watery yolk. The fried chicken wing has a crispy batter with moist meat, its seasoning tastes a bit bland though. The ikan bilis is crispy and crunchy with savoury flavours.

This plate of nasi lemak is fairly nice but quite ordinary.

Fried Mee Hoon

Besides nasi lemak, fried mee hoon is available as well. Seen here is with a fried egg and flat fish cake chosen.

The fried mee hoon has a nice dry texture and nice flavourings. The fried egg has crispy whites and soft watery yolk. The flat fish cake is decent too, with firm texture and savoury tastes. Comes served with a slightly sweet tasting chilli paste on the side. Personally I like their fried mee hoon better than their nasi lemak.
