Wanton Mee

Cho Kee Noodle is an old time wanton mee stall that has been selling wanton mee since 1965. The noodles here are housemade with several unique flavours like spinach, beetroot, tomato, seaweed, etc to choose from. Shown here is with their regular egg noodles.

The egg noodles are springy with a dry texture, and mixed in a sweet tasting seasoning sauce and pieces of lard. Comes topped with slices of lean meat char siew, wanton and vegetables. The fried wanton are an extra add on.

The char siew is the lean meat type with meaty and slightly sweet flavours. The wanton has soft skin and nice savour tasting meat fillings. Likewise for the fried wanton, decent savour flavours with an airy crispy wanton skin. Comes served with a nice ikan bilis flavoured soup on the side.

This is quite an enjoyable bowl of wanton mee. I like it.
