Siu Mei

Xiang Cun Shao La Wanton Mee sells the regular siu mei meats with either rice or noodles. Shown here is their char siew, siu yuk and soy sauce chicken with rice.

The char siew is tender with a nice sweet flavour. The roast pork is fairly tender and meaty with decently crispy skin and isn’t overly salty. The soya sauce chicken is has soft and juicy meat with decently soft skin and tastes alright too.

The rice is just plain white rice with some char siew sauce added giving it a mild smokey and slightly sweet flavour. Comes with a bowl of savoury clear soup on the side. This is quite a decent meal.
