Fried Carrot Cake

Fu Xiang does fried carrot cake in the usual choices of black or white. These are pan fried with soft radish cubes with eggs and chye poh added.

The white version of the fried carrot cake is pan fried with an egg coating, in a flat pancake style. The egg coating has a very slight crisp and tastes decent with the chye poh. The black version has sweet black sauce added giving it a slightly sweet tint. However it isn’t crispy at all.

The fried carrot cake here is quite ordinary but still considered decent. A much better fried carrot cake is Clementi Fried Carrot Cake, located just a few stalls down.

Fried Oyster Omelette

Besides fried carrot cake, fried oyster omelette is available too. The fried oyster omelette has a mixture of eggs and starch with decent size oysters added. The egg and starch mixture is mostly soft and not crispy. The starchy parts are thick, gooey and chewy. Tastes kind of bland on its own but with added chilli, it tastes fairly flavourful.

This fried oyster omelette tastes rather ordinary as well.
