Braised Duck Noodles

Heng Huat Boon Lay Boneless Duck Noodles is a popular stall serving braised duck noodles with choice of yellow noodles, kway teow and mee hoon. Above is with a mixture of kway teow and yellow noodles as it seems that their kway teow is a popular choice with the crowd.

Just as stated on their signboard, the slices of braised duck meat are nicely deboned. It is moist and meaty. The fatty parts are soft and tender, Very likeable. The mixture of kway teow and yellow noodles is tossed in a very flavourful seasoning sauce and crispy pork lard. Some bean sprouts and optional chilli sauce is then added to it. The chilli sauce is a little limey with a very mild hint of sweet, and mixes well with the noodles. Worth noting is, the kway teow has a really smooth texture and I can understand why it is a crowd favourite. A bowl of nicely flavoured soup with a mild herbal taste is served on the side.

This serving of braised duck noodles tastes good and is very likeable. It is worth going for the larger portion.
