Geylang Lor 9 Fresh Frog Porridge serves really delicious frog porridge. The frog legs are cooked in a claypot with a choice of two seasoning sauce: spring onion and kung pao.
The frog meat is very tender and soaking up the sauce flavours very nicely. Both seasoning tastes good and mixes well with the porridge. The kung pao version has dried chilli added, giving it light spicy flavours. Personally, I prefer the spring onion version slightly more. This is their signature dish. Highly recommended.
Fried Oyster Omelette
This fried oyster omelette is delicious. The fried eggs with starch is fried until it has a nice crispy texture with nice savoury flavours. It comes with quite a good serving of oysters. The chilli dipping sauce on the side mixes very well with the fried oyster omelette. This is definitely one of the better fried oyster omelette around.
Sambal La La
The sambal la la (clams) is stirred fried with onions and sambal chilli with a dry texture. The sambal has a dried shrimp taste that matches very well with the clams. This is a thumbs up for me.
