Fish Soup

Hong Sheng Fish Soup serves fish soup with a choice of various fish and seafood options with rice or mee hoon. This is their trio seafood soup with mee hoon.

The trio seafood soup comes with fish slices, fried fish nuggets and prawns, served in a bowl of nicely flavoured clear fish soup. You can choose rice or mee hoon to go with the soup. Besides the seafood, the soup contains some vegetables, tomato slices, tofu cubes and fried egg.

The fried fish nuggets is not crispy at all but tastes decent though. The fish slices are rather smooth, and the prawns are nothing unusual. The fried egg is not so good. It is kind of overcooked with a tough and chewy texture. This bowl of soup comes with a limey tasting chilli dipping sauce on the side, which goes quite well with the seafood.

In short, this is just an ordinary bowl of average tasting fish soup. It is not lousy but not good either. Just barely likeable.
