Ban Mian

Jiak Song Mee Hoon Kway sells both mee hoon kueh and ban mian. Seen above is their ban mian version which comes with pork slices, pork ball, shrimp ball, a raw egg, some minced meat, ikan bilis and some vegetables.

The soup is lightly savoury with meaty flavours, probably coming from the minced meat. The ban mian is freshly made to order. It is springy and fairly firm. Pretty decent.

The pork slices are soft, tender and meaty. The pork ball is soft and meaty and tastes nice. The prawn ball is the show stealer here. It is soft and contains real chunks of prawns inside. Really good! Definitely recommend getting extra prawn balls. I like it.
