Nasi Lemak

Kampung Nasi Lemak serves a selection of nasi lemak sets with various meat options to choose from. The nasi lemak set featured above is their beef rendeng nasi lemak, which comes with chunks of beef rendang, a fried egg and ikan bilis peanuts. The fried chicken leg is an extra add-on.

The beef rendeng is firm and meaty with nice rendang flavourings that has a slightly spicy and slightly sweet taste. The fried chicken is moist and meaty, with nice seasoning flavours and a crispy skin. It is topped with some extra crispy fried flour bits. The ikan bilis and lightly salted peanuts are crispy and crunchy, and the fried egg has soft whites and a runny yolk. As for the serving of rice, it is firm and fairly flavourful with hints of coconut milk flavours. On the side, a dollop of sweet tasting dried shrimp flavoured chilli sauce is provided.

Overall, this serving of nasi lemak is quite satisfying.
