Wanton Mee

Kiat Huat Wanton Noodle is a popular stall serving traditional style wanton mee with lean meat char siew slices and wanton soup. The fried wanton is an extra add-on.

The char siew is lean, soft and meaty with a tint of sweetness and smokiness. The fried wanton has a crispy skin wrapping a soft and flavourful meaty filling. The soup wanton has a soft skin wrapping the same soft and flavourful meaty filling. Its soup is very flavourful with notes of shrimp roe and ikan bilis.

As for the tossed noodles, it is a bit soft but still fairly springy. It has rather nice seasoning flavours. Comes with some vegetables and crispy pork lard.

This serving of wanton mee is not bad, especially the wanton and flavourful soup. I like it.
