Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice

Ng Guan Huat is a siu mei stall selling the usual selection of roast meats. Seen here is their char siew and siu yuk with rice. Slices of char siew and roast pork are stacked on top of plain white rice with a few slices of cucumbers, and braised sauce added. An optional dollop of spicy dried shrimp tasting chilli paste can be added to your personal liking.

The char siew is meaty and moist with decent flavours. It is their roast pork that is the star here. This siu yuk has nice crispy skin with soft and juicy meat. Definitely better than the char siew and truly enjoyable. My star goes to the siu yuk here. Thumbs up!
