Rong Hua Yuan Hainanese Chicken Rice offers a choice of hainanese chicken, roast chicken and chicken cutlet, served with rice along with a small bowl of soup and an optional chilli sauce.

The hainanese chicken is meaty with a fairly smooth skin attached. The roast chicken is meaty and savoury, with a decently flavourful skin, but not completely deboned though. The chicken cutlet is meaty and coated in a slightly crispy crust with some sweet lemon sauce added. The slices of chicken meat are served on a plate with soya sauce seasoning, along with some cucumber slices and pickles.

A serving of rice is provided with the chicken meat. It is firm and fairly flavourful. The bowl of vegetable soup has decent savoury flavours, and the optional chilli sauce has a garlicky undertone.

Overall, this serving of chicken rice tastes just alright.
